SAHA's staff are credentialed professionals — attorneys, program administrators, and operators — who work directly with property owners, county assessors, and the residents of the communities SAHA serves.
The work is technical. Abatement applications, annual certifications, income verification, and the compliance record that keeps affordable units affordable. Every exemption SAHA holds rests on a file that has to withstand review.

Lauren Deyo serves as Executive Director at SAHA, directing the organization's legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and the execution of its affordable-housing transactions across the Carolinas. An attorney with a background in banking and finance law, she brings sharp transactional and compliance experience to SAHA's preservation mission.

Senior Director of Operations

Laura Pineros is the Senior Director of Operations at SAHA, where she oversees programs and day-to-day business operations. She manages the organization's operational framework, leading the production side of program delivery to ensure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with SAHA's mission. Laura brings expertise in multifamily loan processing, housing compliance, and community engagement.
Paralegal Associate

Eve Vargas is a Paralegal Associate at SAHA and a bilingual (Spanish/English) legal professional with more than a decade of experience. Within SAHA's Production Division, she coordinates the compliance documentation, filings, and partner communications that keep the organization's affordable-housing preservation work moving.
SAHA is governed by an independent volunteer board of directors drawn from across the Upstate. Its members include ministry and community leaders, a licensed physician, a published author, and small business owners.
